LUPC Votes 6 to 1 to recommend approval of project to Venice Neighborhood Council

After 17 months and 11 community meetings, (8 with LUPC the committee) the AK Team responded to and answered the concerns of the informed Land Use and Planning Committee (LUPC) members with 4 rounds of changes to the project along with significant additional research and consultant information provided.   The end result was a very well thought out and vetted project that falls within the Venice Specific Plan guidelines which contains the local land use regulations.  Those regulations and laws were developed in a very collaborative based manner with city planning professionals and the community a number of years ago.  As such, the project is within the height limit, under density (number of rooms), and under the size requirement (FAR-floor area ratio – square feet).
